RUN FOR SOMETHING
REAL
What if the person you’ve been waiting for… is you?
We hear it all the time: “Where are the good candidates?”
And every time, we ask back: “What if it’s you?”
You don’t need political experience. You don’t need a donor list. You don’t event need permission.
You need a reason. A story.
And the willingness to step up when it counts.
If you care about your community —if you give a Dem— this is your invitation.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to show up.
The best candidates we’ve worked with didn’t come from politics.
They came from classrooms, clinics, union halls, and kitchen tables.
They ran because no one else would.
They ran because something wasn’t right, and they couldn’t look away.
They didn’t run because they felt ready.
They ran because they felt called.
If that sounds like you, you’re already halfway there.
Whats on the ballot?
In 2026, Anderson County voters will elect:
County Commissioners
They pass the county budget. That means schools, roads, emergency services, libraries, and more.
If you care where the money goes — this is the table where it happens.
School Board Members
They decide what policies are in place, how teachers are supported, and how safe your kid’s school is.
We need people who listen to parents, trust teachers, and put students first.
City Council Members
Zoning, sidewalks, public safety, small business, water bills — city councils handle the basics and the big stuff.
Your town deserves a council that actually reflects who lives there.
Sherriff
This isn’t just about patrol cars — it’s about priorities. The sheriff oversees the jail, sets policy for deputies, and impacts how people are treated in crisis.
We need leaders who value both safety and accountability.
Trustee & Clerk
They keep the government running — collecting taxes, managing records, and handling the logistics that make public services work.
These jobs need people who care about doing it right — not just holding a title.
Mayor & more…
The county mayor proposes the budget, manages day-to-day operations, and sets the tone for local government.
We need leadership that listens, not lectures. That serves, not postures.
Most of these seats haven’t held a Democrat in years. Some of the races have even been completely unopposed.
That’s not how we build the future. That’s how we lose it.
Thinking about it?
You don’t have to decide to run now.
You just have to say maybe.
Let us know you’re interested and we’ll follow up - with info, support, and next steps. No pressure. No gatekeeping. No political jargon.
Just real people, ready to run for something real.
Not ready to run? You can still make it happen.
Every candidate needs a team.
You can:
Host a fundraiser or house party.
Help with signs or canvassing
Be the person who says, “You’ve got this.”
That’s organizing.
That’s how we win.
This is your sign.
You don’t have to believe in the system.
You just have to believe your neighbors deserve better.
Because they do. And maybe the person to deliver it… is you.
