RE: Norris Resolution Requesting 287(g) Agreement with Federal Immigration Enforement // OFFICIAL STATEMENT

On Monday (6/9), the Norris City Council will vote on a resolution asking the Anderson County Sheriff to enter into a federal immigration enforcement agreement. If passed and agreed to, it would shift federal duties to local deputies - and Anderson County taxpayers would be stuck with the bill. The Anderson County Democratic Party is calling on residents across the county to speak out, show up, and say: Not in our name.
